[REVIEW] Park Chow San Francisco Restaurant Review
Open:Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch, Dinner
San Francisco/ Napa: Part 5
Our plans got a bit turned upside down when we got last minute tickets to go to Alcatraz. Despite being SUPER organized (I made a binder, and a map with “coded” place marks on the map accompanied by a legend), I wasn’t expecting to have lunch at the Golden Gate Park. Thank goodness for blackberry’s. I quickly did an online search on Chowhound for a good spot for lunch in the area on our cab ride down to the Aquarium. We ended up on the patio of this super busy café. Service was quick and friendly and the food was great. He had a super cheesy crisp margarita pizza, and I had grilled fish tacos with a minestrone soup. The tacos were fresh and served on corn (nor flour) tortilla, with lots of crunchy slaw and a yummy thousand island type dressing. The soup was also really good. Not a pasta based minestrone, but rather, a bean and tomato soup with bread and a dollop of pesto. Super fresh and light. We also split dessert which was a sticky ginger cake served with caramel sauce and pumpkin ice cream. Enough for four, if you can bare to share that much. The pumpkin ice cream had big pumpkin spice flavours and the cake was lightly caramelized (bruleed) on top. Really heavenly.
