Oatmeal Cherry Cookie Mix

 I load this up with whole grain flour, rolled oats, coconut and dried cherries that you just layer into a 1 L mason jar.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole grain flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup dried cherries
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut toasted
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar

Instructions

  • Hey Mom! Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  • Empty jar of cookie mix into large mixing bowl and mix thoroughly.
  • Stir in 3/4 cup softened butter, one slightly beaten egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Mix until completely blended and shape into walnut-sized balls.
  • Place on a parchment lined cookie sheets 2 inches apart and bake for 10 to 13 minutes in preheated oven, or until edges are lightly browned.
  • Cool the cookies for about 5 minutes on cookie sheet and then transfer them to wire racks to finish cooling.
