Healthy Salad Dressings + Pairings 101
Jammin’ Blueberry Lemon
Serve with: Butter Lettuce with Peaches, Avocado and Almonds
Jammin’ Blueberry Lemon
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Bonne Mamam Wild Blueberry Preserves
- 1/4 cup fresh blueberries
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 2 leaves sprigs lemon thyme removed and chopped
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Puree the ingredients and transfer to a container.
Nutrition
Spicy Mango
Serve with: Finely shredded Cabbage, Bell Peppers, Red Onion, Jicama and Cilantro
Spicy Mango Vinaigrette
Ingredients
- 1 mangos pilled, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 jalapeno pepper seeds and veins removed and minced
- Zest of 1 lime
- Juice of 2 limes
- 1 tsp honey or to taste
- 1 1/2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Puree the ingredients and transfer to a container.

Strawberry Yogurt Poppyseed
Serve with: Spinach, Strawberries, Thinly Sliced Red Onion, Sunflower Seeds and Chevre
Strawberry Yogurt Poppyseed
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup plain non-fat or low-fat Greek yogurt
- 3/4 cup strawberries
- 3 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp honey
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp poppyseeds
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Puree all of the ingredients except for the poppyseeds together. Once smooth, stir in the poppyseeds and transfer to a container.
Nutrition
Creamy Avocado
Serve with: Romaine Lettuce, Cherry Tomatoes, Charred Corn, Black Beans, Bell Peppers
Creamy Avocado
Ingredients
- 1 ripe avocado flesh only
- 3 tbsp reduced fat sour cream
- 3 tbsp non-fat or low-fat Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp parsley chopped
- 1 tsp Worchestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Puree the ingredients together and transfer to a container.
Nutrition
Sundried Tomato
Serve with: Arugula, Olives, Feta, Cucumber
Sundried Tomato
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup sundried tomatoes soaked in 1/4 cup of hot water, not packed in oil
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 roma tomato seeds removed and roughly chopped
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp honey
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Puree the ingredients (including the 1/3 cup of soaking water) in a blender and transfer to a container.

It’s disappointing to se terms like “bikini season” and “figure friendly” preface this article. You promote eating for nutrition and because you enjoy it (which is why I came to this website) and this language doesn’t really reflect that.

Hi Maggie. I totally understand why that would be confusing. But this article was also written around 5 years ago and I have since done some serious soul searching to develop the content that you see today. So you’re totally right! The verbiage in the article absolutely does not align with the verbiage and philosophy I have today… but its also impossible for me to go back and update all of my really old posts (like this one). But thanks for flagging this! I’ll be sure to update it.
